Article

In this class we have read the article develops the topic "What Early Childhood Educators Need to Know Developing Effective Programs for Linguistically and Culturally Diverse Children and Families" and I write an essay about it:

This text address about how two children get along themselves without knowing the language English. They get along with little sentences and point at the object that they want.

In EEUU, there are a lot of people that don’t know the language that’s why it has created three types of programs to learn English: first-language classrooms, bilingual classrooms, and English-language classrooms. This will prevent social isolation in children.

When they started to learn a new language, they also continue to speak their own language in their house, or they do not use the language. It is important for the teachers to motivate the children and make it easy, it means, speak with them, even if they do it wrong.

It´s necessary that teachers and parents of secondary language students can understand with each other, so teachers should make an effort to have a good communication.

It's essential that teachers know the development of their students about the second language and take into account the differences cultures for each child to develop the correct way to work with them.

Finally, it is important that the teachers know how to act with culturally and linguistically diverse children and their families because required new information, new attitudes and new practices.
